A Unique Environment for Foundry Innovation
Spanning more than 91,000 square feet, the HA Center of Competence is one of the few facilities in the world where complete foundry processes can be studied, tested, and optimized outside of active production.
The facility features industrial-scale equipment for both light-metal and iron casting, supported by advanced measurement technology and powerful software tools. This allows customers and technical experts to evaluate materials, validate processes, troubleshoot challenges, and develop solutions under realistic operating conditions.

Training and Technical Seminars at the Center of Competence
Training is an important part of the Center of Competence’s comprehensive service offering. The facility provides an ideal environment for technical courses, hands-on workshops, and industry seminars designed to strengthen foundry knowledge and practical expertise.
At the pilot foundry, participants can experience molding and casting processes firsthand in a controlled, industrial-scale setting. The modern training center also features fully equipped seminar rooms with space for up to 60 participants, making it suitable for both focused technical sessions and larger group events.
Located approximately one hour from Hanover, the Center of Competence also offers the opportunity to combine a training program with a visit to Goslar, a historic UNESCO World Heritage city.
