DuraKote May 2012

Dura Kote FCZ (formerly Technikoat 04-6614) is HA International's newest addition to our Dura Kote product line for the jobbing market.

Designed specifically for Flow Coating, Dura Kote FCZ replaces Technikoat 04-6614. There is no change in the product formulation. The new naming convention helps in better defining the minerals contained in the product and the general application ("FCZ" stands for FC = Flow Coat and Z= Zircon).

Resin Coated Sand May 2012

HA International introduces a new and improved packaging for resin coated sand. Beginning May 2012, a velcro release supersack will replace the current knotted release supersack for a faster, easier, and safer sand release.

DuraKote January 2012

Dura Kote is HA International's newest water based Refractory Coating product line designed for large scale iron and steel castings and is designed for use with all No Bake resin systems. The Dura Kote product line incorporates newer, more cost effective refractories in its formulations.

Mold Lite Plus November 2011

Mold Lite Plus is HA International's newest alcohol based Refractory Coating product line designed for large scale iron and steel castings and is designed for use with all No Bake resin systems. The Mold Lite Plus product line incorporates newer, more cost effective refractories in its formulations.

Geopol October 2011

Effective October 2011 the Geopol binder system is no longer available through HA International. For No Bake applications, please view our ALpHASET product line for an environmentally advantageous choice for the PUNB process.

NixStix July 2011
NixStix HC LVOC and NixStix CB LVOC will now be shipped from our Toledo facility.

NixStix release agents are designed for Heat Cured (HC) applications and Cold Box (CB) applications. Both products are water based, promoting Low Volatile Organic Compounds (LVOC). The item numbers affected by this change are:

HARP July 2011

HA International is pleased to announce the HAI Amine Reclamation Program (HARP). HA International offers our customers an environmentally conscientious alternative to PUCB scrubber solution waste disposal. With HARP, amine is recovered to virgin specifications using the latest innovations in process technology at our partner facility Chemtech Services, Inc. located in Chicago Heights, IL.

Customers participating in HARP will benefit through:

BioSet T Series July 2011

BioSet T is the newest environmental alternative in No-Bake Resins Systems from HA International. Benefits include reduced smoke and odor onsite as well as reduced overall binder levels, creating even greater reductions in emissions for the foundry.

  • Lower odor and smoke during pouring, cooling and shake-out
  • Very low HAPs
  • Excellent hot-strength.

SpheriChrome July 2011

Availability and shipment of HAI's newest specialty sand, SpheriChrome, has been deferred due to production delays. The ORC plant is in the final stages of commissioning and scale up. SpheriChrome is anticipated to be available in September. Please contact your sales representative to preorder material today.

Targeted for large ferrous applications, SpheriChrome differentiates from conventional sub angular chromite in its round shape and finer grain size. SpheriChrome is mined and processed in Coos Bay, Oregon where Oregon Resources Corporation (ORC) employs low-impact mining and processing techniques with no blasting, crushing, or use of environmentally harmful chemicals.
AlphaCure March 2010

Effective 3/2010 all AlphaCure products are manufactured and shipped out of HAI's Toledo facility.
