The No Bake Process

TechnisetHAI's leading No Bake product line, TechniSet, utilizes the Phenolic Urethane No Bake (PUNB) process. The PUNB process utilizes a liquid amine to catalyze the reaction between a phenolic resin and an isocyanate resin to produce a urethane bond that cures under ambient conditions without the addition of heat, gas, or vapor. Based on its value and recognized performance, Techniset is the most commonly used product in the industry for No Bake applications.

BiosetAn alternative to traditional No Bake products, this new environmentally friendly urethane no-bake binder system has been designed for odor and smoke reduction. Bioset binder systems contains very low free formaldehyde content (<0.1%) and is coupled with a specially designed solvent package that is based on methyl ester vegetable oils for lower odor and smoke during pouring, cooling and shakeout.

ALpHASETAn alternative to the conventional PUNB process, HAI's environmentally advantageous No Bake product line, ALpHASET utilizes a liquid ester cured PUNB process that requires only 2 components. This environmentally friendly product line offers very low odor, low VOC, very low nitrogen, zero sulfur, excellent pattern release, water cleanup, low pour off smoke and can be used with all types of sand. This process provides foundries with high quality castings, less cleaning room costs, and increased profits.

Furan No Bake (FNB) and Phenolic No Bake (PNB) Acid Cure Systems
HA International has the industry’s most comprehensive lineup of Acid Cure No Bake resin systems. Enviroset, Super Set, and Airkure resins provide a diverse selection of products for various metal and casting types.
