Sigma Cat Amine Catalysts
Sigma Cure and Biocure phenolic urethane cold box (PUCB) systems use vaporized amines as the catalyst which initiates a reaction between a phenolic resin and an isocyanate resin to form a urethane polymer. TEA (triethylamine), DMEA (dimethylethylamine), and DMIPA (dimethylisopropylamine) are used in the vapor form as catalysts in this process.
